Born and raised in France, Philippe received his formal cooking training at Lesdigueres Cooking School in Grenoble. Later he moved to London and completed his studies at Ealing College. After working in London, he moved to Washington, D.C. in 1984 and worked in I Matti and Yannick Cam's Le Pavillon restaurants as well as with the catering companies Windows, Occasions, and Susan Gage before founding Washington Parties with Stuart Woodruffe.

Stuart was born and raised in Hertfordshire, England, where he studied engineering. After completing an apprenticeship with British Aerospace, he moved to Washington, D.C., where he fell madly in love with food, and more recently, with Chef Tatiana Amaral, who runs the kitchens at Washington Parties. Stuart cooks in the kitchen in addItion to running the warehouse. When not working, Stuart spends time with Tatiana and their children, Kiko, Ozu, and the latest addition to the family, Gabriella.

Tatiana's early training was in Sao Paolo, Brazil, in her family's food business. There, she prepared traditional Italian fare as well as food for the famous Brazilian weekend churrascarias (large barbeque parties). She moved to the U.S. in 2006 where she formalized her training with Michel Legrand. She is married to managing partner Stuart Woodruffe.
“First of all, thank you and your team so much for working so hard to make our wedding special. Please especially send a big thank you to Hilary, who checked up on me throughout the night to make sure I was fine and didn’t need anything.
Everyone loved the food and the ambiance, and we were finally able to relax and have a good time after a long day of formalities. I don’t know if you noticed, as you were so busy behind the scenes, but literally every single person from young to old was enjoying themselves!”
